
KH Abdurrahman Wahid, familiarly called Gus Dur (born 7 September 1940 with the name of Abdurrahman Addakhil [1]) is an Indonesian Muslim leaders and political leaders who became Indonesia's fourth president from 1999 until 2001. He is chairman of Nahdlatul Ulama and the founder of the Resurrection Nation Party (PKB). Wahid replace President BJ Habibie, elected by parliament after the results of elections 1999. The period of presidency, which began on 20 October 1999 ended in the Council of the Special MPR in 2001. Exactly 23 July 2001, the leadership is replaced by Megawati Sukarnoputri.
